MT (Mixed Technology) Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial – The Process

Prior to treatment you must first undergo a consultation where we check your medical history and confirm your suitability for laser treatment. Before we proceed you will be asked to sign a consent form and undergo a patch test 24 hours before treatment. We advise you to keep your skin as light as possible.


We recommend you arrive with no makeup on. We apply a cold gel on the area to be treated. Dark are also provided to protect your eyes from the bright light. The hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.


The feeling of the light being applied has frequently been described as a slight sting and sometimes even as having a small rubber band at your skin


The Quanta Duetto laser treats the damaged superficial layer of the skin and delivers energy to deeper tissue. The system filters the light to ensure the wavelengths used are absorbed by haemoglobin (the blood in your problem vessels).


The light is converted to heat, which destroys the protein in the wall of the blood vessels, causing the vessels to gradually disappear up to 4 weeks after treatment.


The laser targets only the areas, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. You may experience some or after treatment, but this should subside within 72 hours.


It is important to avoid tanning your skin using sun beds, sunlight or self tanning before or during sessions as this may result in a less effective treatment. SPF sunscreen should be used in the treated area for a few weeks after .
